European Train Running/DB AutoZug

Does anybody here have the ability to check whether a train actually runs
or not? Our car club was booked on tonight's (Wed 23rd May) Dusseldorf -
Alessandria DB AutoZug, but they told us it's not running due to
insufficient demand. We're not sure if we believe them... ;)

The summer catalogue of DB AutoZug shows no departure for today 23rd
for Dusseldorf - Alessandria, but only 18th and 25th of May.

Do you mean that there was never one planned to run, and they let us book
on it in error?

Do you mean that there was never one planned to run, and they let us book
on it in error?

It was included originally in their printed brochure ...
